Believing in a cause is easy, acting and committing efforts to make a difference is an ongoing process, that we believe can be achieved in a budget neutral way by simply having the right policies, procedures and paying attention to details that multiplied by thousands of packages a day will make a difference for our children, and every living being in this planet.

   Allpack has strived over the last 5 years to be environmentally friendly in all phases of our business. “Green certified” is a term that has come to our attention over the last couple of years. We researched becoming green certified and became disillusioned by the scores of companies that certify any company “green” with nothing much more than a fee.   Thereby, we have decided to wait until an industry approved certification process exists that will give credence to the claim of being green certified. Until that time, we will list the actions we have taken and let our customers decide for themselves.

1) Recycle Cardboard – We partnered with Sonoco 4 years ago to recycle all of our corrugated cardboard. Last year alone we bailed and recycled 110 tons of cardboard.

2) Recycle Plastics – We are currently partnered with Republic Waste Services to recycle all of our plastic waste. Last year we recycled 5 tractor trailer loads of recyclable plastics.

3) Shipping Materials – All of standard shipping cartons are 100% recycled materials by Pratt Industries. The filler that we use when we ship your order is blank newspaper stock, from end rolls, purchased from our local newspaper.

4) Cleaning Materials – All of our cleaning products are environmentally friendly. We use cloth towels where we can and only recycled tissues and paper-rolls.

   We continue to look for more ways for our business to be environmentally friendly. We would appreciate suggestions from our customers in regard to this and also concerning legitimate green certification.
